Lightly used game. Works on the Atari 7800, 7800+ and 2600+.
If you’ve ever played the 1982 arcade classic Q*bert, you’ll feel right at home with b*nQ. Developed by Ken Siders for the Atari 7800, this homebrew title is a faithful recreation of the beloved arcade experience. It marks Siders’ second ground-up release for the system, following Beef Drop—widely regarded as one of the most accurate adaptations of BurgerTime on classic hardware.
The objective of b*nQ is to rack up points by navigating a pyramid of cubes—jumping across them, collecting green objects, and cleverly luring the Snake to its demise. Each time you land on a cube, it changes color. Once all cubes match the target “change-to” color, you’ll advance to the next round. Every four rounds brings a new level, where the challenge ramps up—requiring multiple jumps per cube and introducing more complex color sequences.
The game supports both single-player and two-player modes, letting you go solo or compete with a friend. Four difficulty settings—Easy, Normal, Adept, and Expert—provide increasing levels of challenge as your skills improve. You can also tailor the controls to your preference, choosing between “rotated” joystick mode (tilted 45 degrees) or standard diagonal input for navigating b*nQ around the pyramid.
