Rare prototype-style release of Super DK! Junior for the ColecoVision — an enhanced and expanded version of the classic Donkey Kong Jr. arcade conversion!
 
Originally developed as an upgraded “Super Game” version for the ColecoVision/ADAM family, Super DK! Junior was designed to take advantage of additional cartridge memory and hardware capabilities that went far beyond the original retail release. Unlike the standard ColecoVision version, this enhanced prototype includes content and features that were never widely released commercially. 
 
The biggest addition is the legendary 5th screen/level, which was absent from the normal ColecoVision cartridge. According to long-time ColecoVision preservation discussions, Nintendo objected to Coleco adding new content beyond the arcade game, resulting in the expanded version never receiving an official retail release in its intended form.
