Super Pac-Man brings a fresh twist to the maze-chasing formula that made Pac-Man a household name. Based on the 1982 arcade sequel Super Pac-Man, this Atari 7800 adaptation expands the gameplay with new mechanics, bigger mazes, and faster-paced action.
 
Instead of simply clearing dots, players must guide Pac-Man through enclosed mazes, collecting keys to unlock doors that hide valuable fruit and items. Once the doors are opened, grab everything you can to rack up points—but don’t linger too long, as the ghosts are always on the hunt. Classic enemies like Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde return, each with their own movement patterns to keep you on your toes.
 
The biggest change comes with the introduction of power-ups. Eat a Super Pellet and Pac-Man transforms into Super Pac-Man, growing larger, moving faster, and smashing through doors without needing keys. This temporary boost lets you turn the tables on the ghosts and clear the maze with speed and efficiency.
 
As rounds progress, the mazes become more complex and the challenge increases, requiring quick thinking and precise movement. With its blend of classic gameplay and new strategic elements, Super Pac-Man on the Atari 7800 offers a fun and engaging upgrade to the arcade original.
